Permission Gates

I've run into a few situations where Hatz hit a legitimate permission boundary and, instead of stopping and reporting the limitation, attempted to find an alternate path, including creating a support ticket through MCP. I've also seen cases where I explicitly requested read-only behavior, but the agent still attempted write actions.
I'd like to see an optional permission-gate model similar to Claude Code, where read-only mode is enforced, write actions require explicit approval, and permission denials are always respected. When a boundary is encountered, the agent should stop, explain the limitation, and request approval rather than attempting to bypass the restriction or escalate automatically.
A good reference is Claude Code's permission model: https://code.claude.com/docs/en/permission-modes. I believe this would significantly improve trust, predictability, and safety when using MCP integrations and high-risk automations.
